Jignesh Surani

Jignesh Surani is the director of The Tandav Nartan Institute of Classical Dance in Rajkot, where he promotes and teaches the Bharatnatyam dance form. He has over 20 years of experience as a professional Bharatnatyam performer and choreographer, having started his journey as a dancer at Darpana Academy in Ahmedabad. Jignesh holds an MPA from Upasana College of Performing Arts and has also earned an Alankar in Bharatnatyam. Under the guidance of Gurushree Vaibhav Arekar of Sankhya Dance Company in Mumbai, he honed his skills as a Bharatnatyam dancer. Jignesh has performed nationally and internationally, and in 2019, he choreographed and performed “Bodhkatha – The Panchtantra Tales” in Abhivyakti Edition 2. Currently, he is performing “Garvo Girnar,” a Bharatnatyam Dance-Drama.
