Jignesh’s performance at Abhivyakti Edition 2 focuses a very well-known tale of lion and the rabbit from the classic Panchtantra collection, presented in a never-before-seen dance drama form. By using a mix of beats, fusion music and Bharatnatyam, he is presenting this concept as a call-to-action of something much deeper, which audiences must see to understand and enjoy. Without revealing much about his concept, Jignesh very subtly states that “We’ve grown up to strong morals defined through various animals in the panchatantra, but how have we implemented these morals when it comes to these animals and our ecosystem?”. His summary encapsulates the very soul of his performance and we can only expect a heart-warming moral from his two-part piece.
