Sharmila Sagara
Sharmila Sagra with a master’s degree in sculptures from Faculty of Fine Arts , M.S. University, Vadodara has a teaching experience of more than 25 years at a graduate and post graduate level. She headed Kanoria Centre of Arts , Ahmedabad before joining CEPT University as Assistant Professor and founding faculty of Master’s programme in Art, Design & Communication at the Faculty of Humanities at CEPT University. Later she joined Ahmedabad University to develop liberal Arts Programme. She has taught Studio Modernism, Art & Architectural traditions of India, Idea: metaphysics, manifestation and materiality. She has contributed her critical reviews to art columns in art magazines, vernacular periodicals. She has conducted talks on her research Travel of an Idea: Metaphysical state to material state as well as her edited publication Ahmedabad 600: Portraits of a city in various institutes.
Sharmila has curated exhibitions , art campus and hosted international exhibitions in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. At present she is associate professor at Anant National University.
