Komal Mistri is a skilled sculptor who is currently a resident artist at Kanoria Centre for Arts. She experiments with various materials like wood dust, charcoal and cow dung to make her sculptures that often symbolise the power of memories and one’s relation with his/her surroundings.
For the festival, she proposes to create a totem, an obelisk, a tower made up of small cabinets. Each cabinet will hold some memories, objects, drawings or sculptures. A mind palace built over time, of experiences, stored in a manner which is extremely personal but reflects upon the time and space they come from.
