Sanjukta Wagh

Sanjukta Wagh is a gifted performer, choreographer, teacher and curator. She has trained under Smt. Rajashree Shirke in Kathak and Pandit Murli Manohar Shukla in Hindustani Music. She has been experimenting with content through Kathak – dance and movement. She has endeavoured to redefine the possibilities of expression in Kathak. She has starred in various performances – a Rage and Beyond, and Haravlele Pratibimb amongst others. She is also a founder member at Beej – a school that engages in pushing the boundaries of dance and its forms. The work that the initiative undertakes can be divided into looking at pedagogy, the tools that make and remake an artist, and exploring interdisciplinary methods of expression
