Rushabh Vishwakarma

Though he is a graduate in sculpture, Rushabh has focused his creativity to make magnificent installations. While growing up, he watched his father co-work on a lot of projects undertaken by MSU students, which ultimately became the inspiration behind his creative pursuits.

Power = Displacement/ Time
Rushabh comes to Abhivyakti Edition with a profound installation concept that shows us a true face of a chaotic world, smothered by conflicts and divides. He says explaining his concept that “We are living on the brink of chaos, that we ourselves have brought upon us. And it is only a matter of time, before we destroy the very things that sustain us.” He narrates a very touching personal story, about displacement, and the pressure of authority brought upon him and the people around him, which ultimately led him to demolish his own house and live nomadically for a while! Drawing from this very livid experience, he has created an installation that shows the cause, effect and the aftermath of clashes, to lead audiences in understanding that this may be their certain future.
