Labdhi Shah

Labdhi Shah is a self-taught artist and an art therapist. Labdhi believes that art is one of the most powerful mediums to lift humankind and plays her part in this noble virtue by healing children and adults suffering from various medical conditions with the help of art therapy.

Hers is a participatory piece, in which she plays the role of instigator. Labdhi will sit beneath the famous banyan tree at the Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat, along with a bunch of printed postcards and writing material. You can take a postcard and write a letter to your loved one. Beside the table will be a traditional post box where you can drop your note off, and Labdhi will make sure its intended recipient receives your message. The process is meant to encourage participants to express their unspoken emotions and render them a voice. So while sipping your tea, if a nostalgic memory of a loved one hits you, send them a postcard. Let your love be heard.
