Harsh Bhavsar & Ishita Jain

Ishita and Harsh are co-directors for Out of India troupe. They come to Abhivyakti with a never-before-seen trans-media concept called Resting Place. Ishita describes this rather unique trans-media project, which will be the first of its kind for Ahmedabad’s audiences as “It is a story that never ends, and it grows every time we perform”.

Resting Place
This experimental piece of work will allow the audiences to be a part of it just as much as its performers, making it an immersive experience for every viewer. Ishita has been doing this project with Out of India Troupe for over a year, at different festivals, and since her first stint, the concept has constantly evolved. “Our story draws inspiration from the space we perform it, and is reinforced by our previous performances. And by using theatrical, cinematic & archival component, to our performance, we have created a platform where our audiences and we will be on the same playing field”. A lot can be said about Resting Place, but the fact that it is a perpetual story, and a completely different genre makes Ishita and Harsh’s narrative fall in the category of ‘only those who see it will experience it’.
