Debarun Dutta

Debarun is a documentary filmmaker and social activist. He makes films with non-profit organisations on a range of issues. He has been heading Drishti, a development communication organisation which uses communication and the arts to further social development, for a few years and this is his first attempt at a video installation.

Debarun is a filmmaker in his own right. For Abhivyakti, he has brought us a multi-channel installation, compiled from the archives of Drishti, which explores concerns relating to the displacement of gender and caste.
